CAPE COAST, CENTRAL REGION — National Chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Paul Afoko, has assured delegates in the Central Region that, if elected at the party’s upcoming National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, he will work to reunite members who have left or become inactive in the party over the years.
Addressing NPP delegates in Cape Coast as part of his campaign, Mr Afoko said his vision for the party is anchored on what he described as the “Three Rs” — Reconciliation, Reorganisation and Rebuilding.
He said the three principles would form the foundation of his leadership as the NPP seeks to address its internal challenges and position itself for victory in the 2028 general elections.
According to Mr Afoko, the party cannot win the next election if its members remain divided. He therefore pledged to reach out to former and aggrieved members and create an environment where everyone who believes in the party’s principles can return and contribute to its rebuilding.
He noted that his Number 3 position on the ballot paper makes the Three Rs particularly symbolic to his campaign, urging delegates to remember the number three when casting their votes.
Mr Afoko called on delegates to give him the mandate to lead the party, promising an inclusive leadership focused on unity, reconciliation and strengthening the party from the grassroots.
He said a united and well-organised NPP would be better positioned to regain the confidence of Ghanaians and mount a strong campaign for the 2028 general elections.
He therefore appealed to delegates to vote for Number 3, Paul Afoko, at the National Delegates Conference in Kumasi, saying the party’s future depends on unity and collective effort.
