The Chief of Staff of the Oguaa Traditional Council and Chief Executive Officer of KingQueen Properties and Investment Limited, Nana Kojo Kra I, has commissioned and handed over a newly constructed main entrance of the Academy of Christ the King Senior High School in Cape Coast.
The project, which was fully funded from Nana Kojo Kra I’s personal resources, forms part of his contribution towards the development of education and improvement of infrastructure within the Oguaa Traditional Area.
The Omanhen of the Oguaa Traditional Council, Osabarimba Dr. Kwesi Atta II, served as Chairman for the occasion and commended Nana Kojo Kra I for his commitment to supporting education and community development.
Speaking at the commissioning and handing-over ceremony, Nana Kojo Kra I said his decision to undertake the project was motivated by his desire to support the school and provide students, teachers and visitors with a befitting entrance.
He explained that as a businessman and traditional leader, he believes in giving back to society and contributing to projects that have a direct impact on the lives of the people, particularly in the area of education.
Nana Kojo Kra I urged the management, teachers and students of the Academy of Christ the King SHS to take good care of the facility and ensure that it serves its intended purpose for many years.
The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Robbet Stephen Reynolds, expressed profound appreciation to Nana Kojo Kra I for the gesture, saying the new entrance would make a significant difference to the school.
Mr. Reynolds thanked Nana Kojo Kra I for his generosity and appealed to him to consider supporting the school with additional development projects and other needed facilities to enhance teaching and learning.
He also called on other individuals, organisations and corporate bodies to emulate Nana Kojo Kra I’s example by supporting the school’s development agenda.
The commissioning and handing-over ceremony brought together traditional leaders, school authorities, teachers, students, community members and other invited guests.
The newly constructed entrance is expected to enhance the appearance of the school while providing a more befitting and welcoming gateway to the Academy of Christ the King SHS.
